From Goodreads
“Knock knock!”
“Um… Who’s there?”
Yeah. That was me, on my last date. Before you feel sorry for me
you should know that I was the one telling the jokes. Jokes as in
plural, because I didn’t stop with just one. Of course not.
Hi, I’m Chloe Scott. The most awkward single girl in the city.
But I’m going to get it together. I am.
I’m going to learn how to date like a grown up.
I’m going to have an orgasm not given to myself.
I’m going to fall in love and live happily ever after.
Right after I get out of this interrogation room.
My Review
Oh my goodness I’m so happy that Chole got her own book! I really liked her in Right and she is totally relatable in Trust. Chole has social anxiety that tends to rear its awful head in her dating life...which is pretty miserable as it is. It definitely doesn’t need help from any form of anxiety. Chole is a girl after my own heart with her wittiness and adorkable nature. She likes second hand finds, being a second grade teacher, and is kind of obsessed with murder mysteries.
Enter Boyd. Boyd is Sophie’s FBI brother and a total knockout. He reads Chole like a book and is incredibly charming and patient. Their story is super adorable and steamy.
Trust is the final book in the Cafe series. Like the other books in this series, Trust was a super quick read that I finished in a day. Also like the other books in this series, I felt like the character development left some to be desired but it was a fun read nonetheless.
