From Goodreads
Feyre survived Amarantha's clutches to return to the Spring Court—but at a steep cost. Though she now has the powers of the High Fae, her heart remains human, and it can't forget the terrible deeds she performed to save Tamlin's people.
Nor has Feyre forgotten her bargain with Rhysand, High Lord of the feared Night Court. As Feyre navigates its dark web of politics, passion, and dazzling power, a greater evil looms—and she might be key to stopping it. But only if she can harness her harrowing gifts, heal her fractured soul, and decide how she wishes to shape her future—and the future of a world cleaved in two.
With more than a million copies sold of her beloved Throne of Glass series, Sarah J. Maas's masterful storytelling brings this second book in her seductive and action-packed series to new heights.
My Review
My love for SJM and the ACOTAR is well known, so it’s no surprise that I think that A Court of Mist and Fury is AH-MAZING. As in, it might be my favorite book in the series, but please don’t hold me to that.
Feyre goes through a lot in this book. I remember in my first time reading ACOMAF my heart ached with hers through every page and I was completely sucked in to the story. As my first reread, my heart didn’t ache as strongly since I knew what was coming but I still empathized greatly.
This book is a total rollercoaster. I kind of think that when writing ACOMAF, SJM was like...Let’s take the reader’s hearts out of their bodies and send it through a shredder. Then carefully tape it back together with a hot fiery rage and melt it with steamy passion. And then she lovingly places it back in your body with a smile on her face and a kind little pat that leaves you feeling like you’re running out of a game day tunnel with unwavering confidence that you will utterly destroy your opponent.
Or, I don’t know, maybe that’s just me.
Either way, this book is ah-mazeballs and if you haven’t given this series a chance yet, do yourself a favor and do so.
